Update on tagging project

There will be a club meeting on Thursday 7th May 2026. Simone is going to give a presentation and update on the Bream and Pike tagging programme that is underway on the Broads. There will be some representation from the Environment Agency as well. This should be very interesting and topical, given the salt surges of last winter.

The meeting will start as usual from 8.00pm at the Beehive Pub, Leopold Road, Norwich, NR4 7PJ. It would be good to see as many of you there as possible.

Notes from 2026 AGM

Held on 9th April 2026

  1. Martin Ward has stepped down as Treasurer but remains a committee member. Graham Chappell was voted in as the new treasurer and has joined the committee. Welcome Graham.
  2. Adam Todd has stepped down from the committee. Adam was a key contributor to the PACGB Junior teach-in syllabus and attended all our teach-ins as lead coach. Our thanks and best wishes go out to Adam for all he has done for the club.
  3. Phil Cotton has stepped down as booking secretary. Phil was the friendly voice at the end of the phone for many many years. Our thanks and best wishes to Phil for all he has done for the club.
  4. John Lawrie and Phil Gray were voted in as new committee members. We also welcomed back Sean Elliott onto the committee. Welcome and thank you for stepping forward.
  5. Nick Rickerby has stepped down from his boat movement and maintenance work. The committee thank him for all he has done for the club.
  6. We have made some changes to the constitution and voted them in at the AGM. The changes can be seen here.
  7. The membership fee for 2026/27 will be £120.
  8. This year has been our most successful as far as membership numbers, but it has also brought with it a few problems with boat abuse and rule breaking.
  9. We have purchased yet another aluminium boat, a Buster XS. We will continue to add to the fleet when funds allow.

Regards
